ABOUT
One afternoon in 2016, Mr. GOODBOY co-founder and lead designer Carson Lere was getting a haircut and happened to notice the movie Blade Runner on in the background. As his mind drifted through the possibilities of a dystopian future, Carson wondered to himself how people might discover and enjoy music in that fictional, Los Angeles landscape.
Out of these musings came the concept of a traditional, street-vending push-cart, where patrons could sample the wares of local record shops, collectors, artists, and labels wherever the cart might be. Much like the hot dog vendors and fruterias of LA, the record cart would go wherever people might want to engage with music.
With that idea in mind, Carson partnered with Ryan Wilson—a lifelong record collector, musician, and producer—to develop the record cart. Today, Mr. GOODBOY exists as a global RaaS (Retail as a Service) company that specializes in bringing brands and people together through music. Promoting physical connection in the digital age, Mr. GOODBOY curates unique and tangible experiences with vinyl records, delivering a memorable opportunity for everyone involved.
